Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Here's Hannah and I at the Beach Club Resort at Disneyworld standing in front of a gingerbread carousel.  They make gingerbread and chocolate items for display at Disneyworld every year and they have to start in July.  Anyway, they were all just amazing, but especially the carousel.
I'm so behind right now!  I will try to post some photos of my Christmas decorations and some Christmas jewelry I'm planning on making as last minute gifts today.  We'll see how my plan works out.  I will be more likely to get all of this done if I write it down here.

Disneyworld here we come!!!

We're leaving for Disneyworld tomorrow and I made this clipboard for Hannah.  This year instead of buying an autograph book while we're there, I've cut out a bunch of different tags on the Cricut and will put one on the clipboard to have the characters sign with a marker and then we'll make our own book when we get home.  We'll see how it works out.  I'll post the finished product when I get it made.

This is the front of the clipboard.

This is the back.

Holiday Bling!

Here are some new necklaces I just finished for the holidays and my jewelry party that I'm having on Dec. 9th.  Lots of crystals, lots of sparkle!

Yard of the Month

I'm so surprised!  I just got yard of the month for November, so I took some photos to post.  I don't have much of a green thumb and don't spend a lot of time in my yard, so that's why I'm very surprised.  Anyway, I had to pull weeds and trim the bushes as soon as they put the sign in the yard!

Welcome Tray

I made this tray last night to go with my flower arrangements I made this summer.  My flower arrangements had so much red and bright green that I felt like I needed something else red and green to go with them.  I'm not crazy about the way the "welcome to the nest" came out as you can hardly see it, but oh well.  I'm really bad about looking at something I've made and thinking about what I would change if I made it again.  All the die cuts are from the Cricut cartridge Straight from the Nest, various scrapbook paper, matt decoupage glue and Stampin' Up! ribbon.  The tray was just an old green tray that I picked up somewhere along the way and spray painted it black.

Cricut Circle Blog Boo Challenge!

I'm entering my Halloween wreath in the Boo Challenge on the Circle blog.  I had already posted these photos on my blog, but am reposting them now so I can put the link on the Cricut blog.  Anyhow, I made this wreath using the Mini Monsters cartridge.  I tied strips of ribbon to the black wreath and stamped some of the cardstock I used with Stampin' Up! background stamps.

Halloween Decorations!

I know I had a goal of posting my first photos by this PAST Friday and of course, didn't make my own deadline.  Shocker!  Nothing new for me.  I did have a great weekend, though.  I got to spend all day Saturday with my new Cricut Circle friends at a Houston meet-up.  I met so many great people and had such a good time.  I even won a cartridge and a package of matts for my cricut!  Yeah!!!

Anyway, on to business, I did actually take some photos Friday of some of my Halloween decorations and a wreath I made, but never got a chance to post them.  I LOVE Halloween decorations, though.  I really like the colors (purple, lime green and black being some of my favorite colors) and the "old timey" looking decorations.  My all time favorite Halloween figure is Jack Skellington, though.  Every time we go to Disneyworld, I pick up some sort of Jack decoration.   So, I just wanted to post some of the photos I took.

I know it's a little blurry, but didn't have a better one.  Sorry.

My husband just got me the snowman.  He said it's his favorite!
My favorite is the new cupcake kitty on the end!  I love anything having to do with cupcakes!

My "Candy Corn Girl" candy holder!

I made this wreath using my Cricut and the Mini Monsters Cartridge.  I can't remember right now if the Trick or Treat came from that cart. as well.   I tied strips of ribbon to the wreath to fill in.  I purchased the black wreath at Michaels.

I know I'm not the best photographer, but I'm hoping to get better at it.  So hopefully my photos will get better and better as this blog goes forward.
Thanks for looking.

Here we go!!!

This kind-of feels like a leap of faith in my creative abilities.  So, here we go, my first blog post.  I'm committing to myself to have my first photos posted by this Friday, of the Halloween projects I'm working on, that I'm making with my Cricut.  I should have had these done weeks ago, but as usual, I haven't finished them yet.  I'm one of the people that always waits until the last minute.  I guess I work better when I'm on some sort of deadline.

My goal, or vision, for my blog is to be about all things creative.  I like to do so many things (and of course, never have enough time to do them all), so I have decided that it might be fun and give me those deadlines I seem to need, to start a blog and show some of the things I enjoy.  So I guess that's it for my first post.  I hope I do a good job on my blog!
